How does it remove these veins?
The Cutura Laser delivers pulses of light energy down into the targeted vein. We set the wavelength to match the color of the vein, so the targeting is very accurate, not harming adjacent tissue. When the laser light energy penetrates the skin and hits the blood it converts to heat and causes the blood in the vein to coagulate. This eventually destroys the vessel, and your body then begins the process of eliminating the now-useless vein from your system. It absorbs it over the course of the next few weeks. Any blood that was routing through the vein is simply redirected by the body to a deeper vein, which is a better location because it can’t be seen on the surface of the skin.
