Whether or not they’ve had a cosmetic procedure, many people wonder how many other people are “having something done.” Well, it’s easy to quantify — just look at the statistics released by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS, of which Dr. Saltz is the current president elect, by the way!).
For 2015, the ISAPS reported that over 21 million people worldwide had either a surgical or non-surgical procedure done.
And once again, as it has been every year since it was introduced in 2002, botulinum toxin (overwhelmingly Botox) injections were the most popular procedure of all.

Over 9.6 million cosmetic surgeries were performed in 2015.

3.Eyelid surgery (down 11% from 2014)
4.Abdominoplasty (up 11% from 2014)

12.1 million nonsurgical procedures were performed in 2015.

3.Laser hair removal (down 14% from 2014)
4.Photo rejuvenation (new to survey)
5.Nonsurgical fat reduction (new to survey)
